DIR-3 KYC Filing Fees Revised: Understanding the New Structure
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has introduced a tiered fee system for filing Form DIR-3 KYC Web, effective immediately. This change aims to encourage timely compliance while imposing financial consequences for delays and repeated updates.
- No fee is payable if the form is filed within the prescribed timeline.
- A fee of ₹5,000 applies for delayed filings or reactivation of Director Identification Numbers (DIN).
- A fee of ₹500 is levied for each subsequent filing made to update or change KYC details.
This revision is significant for companies and directors who need to comply with the Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Rules, 2014. Understanding the new fee structure is crucial to avoid financial penalties and ensure timely compliance. As a result, companies and directors must be aware of the revised fees and adjust their compliance strategies accordingly.
